Our articles are not designed to replace medical advice. If you have an injury we recommend seeing a qualified health professional. To book an appointment with Tom Goom (AKA ‘The Running Physio’) visit our clinic page. We offer both in-person assessments and online consultations.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of joining Jack Chew (@Chews_Health) and fellow running specialist Matt Phillips (@Sportinjurymatt) to chat for the Physio Matters Podcast. I haven’t had a chance to write about it on the blog until now as I’ve been snowed under with the research paper, a full clinic and treating a world-class athlete! I wish I could name drop and say who, but sadly confidentiality prevents me. It’s been fantastic working with a great team to get him ready for the 2016 Olympics but a challenge to squeeze everything in!

Anyway, Olympians aside, please take some time out to listen to our podcast talking about assessing and treating runners, gait analysis and injury prevention. We even get radio-bombed by a top physio and bearded genius @Greglehman!

A complementary piece that’ll go nicely with the podcast is this Q&A blog I did for BJSM on running injury and gait analysis.

If you’d like to find out more on managing running injury, including very practical learning for gait analysis and exercise prescription, check out the details of our latest courses and book on a Running Repairs Course.
