I read a great paper recently by @JandJonge and colleagues that really got me thinking. It was one of those studies that helps things click into place and connect what you’re seeing in clinic with research findings. I really wanted to share it with you and show how it links to the common problem of runners being unwilling or unable to change their training so I recorded a video on our Facebook Page which you can enjoy below.

The study (Jonge et al. 2020) explores runners ‘passion’ and whether this is harmonious or obsessive. We discuss their findings in the video and how you can help runners to recognise and change their relationship with their sport to avoid injury and overtraining.
