New feature on RunningPhysio – The Forum

As RunningPhysio has grown we’ve had more and more questions from runners about managing injuries, especially on Twitter. We try our best to help wherever possible but have struggled with the 140 character limit. So we decided to create a better service…The Forum

The Forum is for everyone, beginner and running veteran alike and we want it to be a supportive, friendly environment for people to ask whatever questions they like. To join simply head over to the forum page and register.

Once you’ve registered you’ll be emailed a password (check your spam if it hasn’t arrived) and you can then login and change it if required. From there simply choose the area of the body you want to ask about, start a new topic and post your question. Alternatively, just join in with discussions on established topics.

Forum etiquette

We don’t have a long list of restrictive rules on the RunningPhysio forum just a couple of requests;

  1. Be nice! The aim is a supportive approach, not critical and certainly never abusive. If you disagree with someone that’s fine, discuss it politely but don’t resort to abuse.
  2. Keep the swearing to a minimum!

How to post a question…

Firstly choose the area of the body (e.g. knee)

Next select new topic;

In the box that opens provide a brief subject (e.g. knee pain when running) and a summary of the problem with any questions;

It helps us if you include how and when the problem started, where the pain is and what aggravates it. Also let us know if a joint is swollen, locking or giving way or if you have any usual symptoms likes pins and needles or numbness.
