Eccentric loading is one of the most commonly used treatment strategies in tendinopathy, although there are arguably better options as we discuss in this video on tendon rehab. One disadvantage of eccentrics is how time-consuming they are. One study reported that they took around 5 hours per week. That’s quite a commitment when you consider it’s typically a 12-week programme.
An easier treatment option for Achilles tendinopathy is certainly appealing so when a new study appeared to show positive results for heel lifts that could be simply slipped into a shoe I wanted to share this with you.
