Recent research tells us that back pain is the number 1 cause of disability globally. Despite advances in care it can still be a challenging problem to treat. Key messages of being confident in your back and exercising regularly are important but not the only answer. For example, what else can we offer athletes who are already fit and active and yet still have pain? What barriers are there to exercise and how do we overcome them? How do we get carry over from exercises into daily activities?
